Sustainable Gifts for Fit Chicks
Looking for a green way to gift your fitness friends and lovers a holiday season? I found a few conscious ways to help the planet aaaand get your gift list done.
I had the pleasure of attending the Urban Air Market - which is a curated marketplace for sustainable design. I met some local makers with unique items- to help you get from studio to street in style. This holiday season let's remember to #shopsmall. When you buy from one of these smaller companies an actual person does a happy dance:)
Ditch the water bottle and get a bit greener. Instead, grab a chic crossbody bag from Smith & Starr . It's all about hands free hydration with the Conway bag. Go from Studio to street and never again forget about leaving your expensive glass water bottles behind. ( I ALWAYS lose those!).
Girl Power Workout Tees
I squealed with delight when I came across Rich n Riots Girls hustle harder tee!. Grab it now to stay motivated in tht hustle for muscle babe.
I love the punk rock edge slash empowerment vibe that founder Kamilah has created. This fab Oakland biz makes keenly designed tees and sweats for girl bosses at reasonable price points….. grab one for your gym going bestie!
Silk Neck Warmers
Exercising with a scarf is just a drag. These circle shaped shaped neck warmers from Super Sugar Ray Ray will protect ya neck during runs and hikes in the coming months. They are made out of silk so they are breathable and they won't drag down in the wind. Plus they are made in Oakland out of repurposed scraps and are reversible. Feel warm and good inside and out!
As the temps cool off check out these cuddly and soft sweat shirts from Deso Supply Company The fleece is ultra soft and there are loads of pockets to hold it all as you run about town. They are manufactured in San Francisco and they pay their workers living wages.
I loved their Wanderer hoodie in the brown. Perfect for snuggling up this season!
Here it is in the purple shade too. That is one of the people that does a happy dance when you buy deso.....
Not only are they bright and beautiful Teeki brand makes its fiber out of former single use plastic. It's hard to believe but these leggings used to be plastic water bottles For less than a price of lulus, the prints are unique and the cuts are flattering. Plus teeki is very involved in community and environmental causes.
