I can’t believe its been three years since my first Pilates burn series!

So much has changed….I’m in Brooklyn not Oakland. I’m single AF. I have not a single festival planned due to that gift that keeps on giving. Covid 19. As I’m writing this delta and kappa are breaking through vaccines and Los Angeles has reinstated a mask mandate.

My first incantation of Pilates Burn was my get ready for Burning Man workout routine. It featured intense double Pilates props workouts. Along with it I featured handmade festival clothing made by local San Francisco designers.    The sort of tiny things I actually would wear to Burning Man and other summer events.

REAL TALK- I may have came to pilates to heal a knee injury- but I stayed with it because of how nice it made my ass look.

I started working out when I was 15, now at the age of 43 I can tell you I’ve tried it all from heavy weight training to yoga to HIIT to running. Nothing else will give you sustainable results WITHOUT killing your joints- the way pilates will.

I workout LESS than I did at 22 …..and I rock skimpier bikinis then I did then.

I’m contemplating taking up pole dancing simply so I can do it better than J Lo did by the time I’m 50. Many of my pilates teacher coworkers have gone on to explore pole dancing careers.  They quickly picked up the art as we have the core strength flexibility and coordination to pull ourselves up and spin around. Plus we have the experience verbiage and know how to command a room as a teacher
