Pilates Burn Series 2020

Well 2020, you may have canceled every single festival on the planet- 

But you CANNOT STOP me from putting on my favorite festival outfits and doing Pilates in them:).

Are you sad that your favorite fest isn’t taking place? 

I thought for sure I’d be in Black Rock City or Movement Detroit or Afro-Punk or Electric Forest this year…

Being a unicorn always makes me smile and there’s no time like now to work on our festival bodies for next year. 

Let’s end off summer with a bang and get ready to enter fall our fittest EVER

Use these short series of workouts this week or whenever you need a rainbow burst of colorful pilates creativity. 

You can do them all at once, or do one a day or go into beast mode and do 2- 3 rounds of each one:)

We’ll be strengthening with some glider moves, getting some cardio in with some HIIT, and stretching with some band mobility moves.

Core Slider Pilates

2 sliding workouts to strengthen and stretch

Featuring the Flex Disc Fit-.  This wheeled multi-directional core slider ON Crack is a great home Pilates reformer option. 

Tone your whole body as they challenge balance, coordination, strength and stability.

The first one is a Home Pilates Reformer Workout

If you don't have a Flex Disc you can use any core gliders or try socks or a towel on a slippery floor or paper plates on carpeting. 

Mobility & Core Stretch

The next one will feature some yummy advanced sequenced stretches.

You may use a wall or modify as these do get a bit on the fiery side

Loop Band Leg Stretch

This long loop band workout will open your hips and then strengthen your joints to keep that flexibility.  I am using principles from Pilates and Functional Range Conditioning and these are moves I use to keep my legs limber.  

Try these moves if you sit too much, drive too much or just want too loose ups and tone your core.

Ready to turn up the heat with some HIIT?

This workout features Pilates strength and kick boxing moves - no equipment needed!

I give some modifications in the captions and you can always add weights to make the moves more intense

HIIT cardio helps me get my steps in- at home with the AC blasting when its too hot too venture outside. 

Thats one thing Burning man didn’t have- air conditioning!!! 

Anyway- you will feel the burn with these moves- try two or three rounds to for extra sweaty dance floor vibes.
