Total Body Home Barre Workout

Why be moody when you can shake your booty….

Do you miss in person barre classes?

At the time I’m writing this NYC still has nooooo gyms, fitness centers, or boutique studios of any sort. Governor Cuomo has set reopening dates for us.

I miss teaching my barre classes so much but I found a great home workout solution.

Introducing the Booty Kicker- the portable storable and durable home barre solution that kicks your booty!

When they asked me to test out this home barre and become an ambassador I leaped with joy!

Barre workouts are a fusion of dance yoga cardio and pilates- in the last ten years they have exploded in popularity and the moves really target abs core hips and butt

Barre class Benefits:

Tone and define

The targeted moves really hit your hips butt and legs from many different angles for many many small reps called pulses.

Endurance and Cardio

The isometric moves are done for longer periods of time and have you hold for even longer in positions like plies and planks- building your muscles endurance

Plus it can count as cardio- depending on the flow of the class. If it’s intense with no rest- your heart rate will increase and this keeps your heart healthy

Mobility & Flexibility

Both dynamic and static stretches are performed, which will actively and passively open your hips shoulders legs, and torso as you strengthen these areas.

Classes use mobility drills to warm up and static stretches at the end of class to cool down.

You’ll be working to increase the range of motion in your joints throughout each exercise. It’s great if you’ve been wanting to work towards splits.

Mind & Body Coordination

Just like Pilates and Yoga- those small tiny movements and alignment require complete concentration.

Sooooo forget about your day and tune into YOUR body.

Core Strength

To perform these moves correctly, you’ll be constantly engaging your abs obliques and lower back in a variety of positions.

Similar to Pilates, but there is even more standing balance work which will target those muscles even more

Classes can range from 10- 30 a pop but there’s never been a better time to try this one out at home

I’ve been loving my Booty Kicker Home Barre system!

It folds flat and wheels away for easy storage- which is crucial for tiny NYC apartments.

Even better it has slots to holds my dumbbells.  The wooden barre is super sturdy and I can tie up my resistance bands onto them for even more variety.
